Rhodiola Rosea Extract for Stress-Related Fatigue and Burnout

Symptoms Studied

Mental and physical exhaustion from prolonged stress, difficulty concentrating, reduced motivation, feeling overwhelmed by normal tasks, and emotional exhaustion.

Research Hypothesis

Rhodiola rosea is an adaptogen that may help the body cope with stress by modulating cortisol response and supporting mental performance under fatigue.

Intervention Tested

Rhodiola Rosea Extract (SHR-5)

576 mg standardized Rhodiola rosea extract (SHR-5) daily, taken as 4 tablets

Duration: 28 days

Study Results

Before Treatment

Adults aged 20-55 with stress-related fatigue syndrome, showing elevated cortisol responses and impaired attention and cognitive performance.

After Treatment

Significant improvements in burnout symptoms and attention measures. Anti-fatigue effect increased mental performance and concentration. Cortisol response to morning stress was reduced.
